| Word | Means |

| **App** | One AI solution for one purpose, with its own code, people, agent and cloud resources. |
| **Galaxy** | The platform's technical name for an app. You see it in Azure resource names and technical pages. |
| **Universe** | The platform as a whole, and the control panel that runs it. |
| **Control panel** | Where administrators and app owners manage the platform and their apps. |
| **Agent** | The AI your people talk to in an app. |
| **Wisdom** | Rules and know-how for AI coding assistants, written once and shared with every app. |
| **AI gateway** | The single route every AI call takes, where safety rules apply and usage is recorded. |
| **Safety rules** | The checks every question and reply passes through, also called guardrails. |
| **Pause all AI** | The switch that stops every agent and tool in every app, without deleting anything. |
| **Studio** | Changing an app in your browser by describing the change in plain words. |
| **Kernel** | The engine behind the control panel. |
| **Foundry** | Microsoft Foundry, where your models and agents run in your Azure subscription. |
